    1. Statement Sleeves

To sleeve or not to sleeve? If the high fashion catwalks are anything to go by then sleeves are here to stay are are better than ever! Sleeves on wedding dresses have been part of the conversation for the past year. Most think you only need sleeves on a wedding dress for a winter wedding as a bit of extra coverage. But now, they are more of a statement which add to the drama & beauty of a dress. The modern day sleeved wedding dress can mean some serious volume, but wedding dress designers are softening the look for bridal, keeping to lace work & soft materials. But in 2021 we can see more sleeved wedding dresses gracing the aisles, and not just for the extra coverage, but for the beauty and the fashion too.

    7. 1920’s Influence

This trend is all about capturing the mood of the 1920’s rather than a full on vintage look. Think jazz, think glamour & exuberance. This trend is about dresses which glitter under the lights with details that say ‘look at me’. This trend is about dresses which were made for dancing in, with silhouettes which keep the look contemporary.

    8. Square Necklines

Something which isn’t usually seen on bridal gowns is a square neckline. But we are seeing designers bringing this element to their dresses. This look can be mixed with the off the shoulder look, or can be used to give the chest a little more coverage. So if a low cut look or a sweetheart neckline isn’t for you, have a look at the squarer style.

    9. Hues

We all imagine walking down the aisle in a gorgeous, bright white wedding dress, making sure everybody knows exactly who the bride is. But during the catwalks this season, we saw nudes, buffs & soft tones. The traditional White & ivory look isn’t for everybody, and unless you’re dreaming of going dark (Hello Tourmaline by Pronovias!) then a soft blush colour is way forward. With so many variations of nudes & blush, there is a shade to compliment every skin tone. Adding colour to your wedding dress can show off your daring rebellious side, but it can also bring an air of sophistication to the look, depending on how colourful you go! We love this look & how it makes a dress look ultra romantic.

    10. Corset

Bridal 2021 is bringing sexy back! Underwear as outerwear is a look which has become more widely seen over the past year or so, and the more daring of us have embraced this look. But in 2021 corsets will be more widely seen in bridal & will bring a sexier look to bridal gowns. Corsetry has been used in bridal wear since the beginning of time, but it has always been subtle and hidden. Now it’s on show and can be the main feature of a dress. It bring sophisticated sexiness & a fun element to a gown and works with fitted and full on princess styles too. It’s not a look for the shy, but will give a look of confidence from anyone who wears this trend.
