It’s official…. 2019 has been our BEST YEAR EVER!! We’ve had reasons to celebrate, we’ve said hello to new staff & most wonderfully we’ve welcomed the most brides into the GSB family in 2019 than we have in any other past year. The brides we meet along the way, with their friends & families, really do give us all reasons to smile, laugh & enjoy our jobs in this crazy & wonderful business!!
So apart from welcoming a fantastic amount of brides-to-be into our lovely luxury boutique, what else have we been up to during 2019?……
We’ve gone over to the dark side
It’s big, bold, beautiful…and black! As soon as we saw the Tourmaline gown on display at an exclusive Pronovias event we knew we had to add it to our already sensational wedding dress collection. We’re always looking for fashion forward dresses which push the boundaries, along with classic, traditional & sleek designs. So if you’re looking for something completely different, the Tourmaline gown could be the one for you! If you want different, but not too different then we also welcomed the Tristyn gown by Maggie Sottero. A dress made for brides of the ultra romantic, gothic-chic, and gorgeously unconventional persuasions. We’ve dared to be different…will you?
ABI GOT ENGAGED!!
We’re sure most of our have come across our lovely Abi here in store. She’s one of our experienced bridal stylists who also works in our couture seamstress department, & this year her boyfriend Jack finally popped the question while they were away in Amsterdam… Abi of course said “YES!!” I don’t know who was more excited for the proposal to finally happen… Abi or us!!!
New…& Old… Staff
We’ve welcomed the lovely Ellie into our GSB family. Ellie came to us for work experience in the Spring time, but we couldn’t bare to let her go! So thankfully she said yes to staying on & has become a vital member in our couture seamstress department. We were also over the moon to have a face from the past come back to join us… the fabulous Ashleigh. Ash left us a few years back when she moved to Nottingham, but when she moved back we couldn’t not have her back here! We loved having her back!
Exciting New Designer
We’ve welcomed a brand new designer to our store – the one & only Zac Posen! Zac has collaborated with the amazing Pronovias to create a new label called ‘White One’. If you’re not familiar with Zac Posen, he’s basically the go-to guy for anyone who walks the red carpet for the Oscars or any glam, celeb event. So obviously we’re super excited for his gowns to arrive in our store early next year!!
So to sum it up, basically, 2019… we smashed it!!
