Early days
It may be many months or even a year before your wedding, but it is never too early to start wedding dress shopping. Now is the perfect time to do your research so you have a basic idea of the styles and colours you are looking for.

Try to order your wedding dress a minimum of 6 months before your big day
Remember that dresses are seasonal and come in and out of fashion, which is why many brides to be order their dresses early – some have theirs booked already for 2017 dates
Choosing the One
Wedding dress shopping can be time consuming and stressful, so there is no point visiting every bridal shop only to skip the best dresses on the racks because you don’t have time. Visiting between three and five shops usually works for most brides.

- Don’t limit yourself and be open to trying on lots of different styles. You may be pleasantly surprised with what you actually like once you are wearing the dress
- If you find a dress that you fall in love with, don’t hesitate as there is no guarantee the dress will be there when you next come back
