Dressing Dreams: Pronovias at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2017
Last month we got to visit the biggest international bridal fashion show of the year – Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week – with the chance to glimpse the outstanding 2017 collection from the Spanish bridal brand Pronovias.
Held in their flagship store in Barcelona, on April 29th, the annual Pronovias bridal fashion show closed Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week with a display of over 40 stunning gowns, from their 2017 Atelier collection.
The Haute Couture Atelier collection for Autumn/Winter, was put together by Pronovias’ creative director Hervé Moreau. For his second collection for the brand, Moreau has offered brides to be plenty of inspiration; we saw intricate lace detailing and hand embroidery, with long capes and beautiful crystal embellishment. The range of bridal gowns were teamed with simple, chic-up dos and sparkling hair accessories, perfect for the elegant bride.
However the 2017 bridal gowns have used stretch gauze fabric for the first time. This fabric gives a second-skin like effect and makes the sheer fabric seamlessly mould to the body. The hand-made dresses offer an ideal fit to enhance the feminine figure, and with draped hems they elongate the silhouette. We also loved the sheer illusion aspects to some of the dresses that offer Pronovias brides a sophisticated and sexy bridal look. We’re seeing this with a lot of bridal designers now looking to adapt with the modern bride, whilst still giving them something feminine and elegant. Pronovias have definitely lived up to their reputation of creating truly beautiful, statement bridal gowns that will make you feel like royalty.
Pronovias have also launched their standard 2017 collection, which boasts a wider variety of colours, delicate lace and an abundance of tulle. We’re extremely excited to have seen both collections and can’t wait to bring in the new 2017 ranges from leading designers such as Pronovias, to our stores.
